Cool. I don't really care about the name if it means that finding games that I like gets a little bit easier.

I think the craziest thing for me, if I'm reading this right, is that the pack includes all ships released and concepted. So you're paying for ships that aren't even in the game yet? You just have concept art and the promise that they might be in the game?

Honestly, given everything the game went through it's a surprise it turned out as good as it did. It's interesting how many of the story beats and ideas from the old version ended up in the released game, although in a different context. Still, it's a shame the project got taken away from Sony London on such short notice. Watching someone else rework the project you'd been working on and get all the praise for it has to sting.

Now we just need a PlayStation brand air purifier.

I'm not too familiar with the City of Heroes Community, so I don't know how good a deal this is, but it is nice to see a fan effort to keep a game alive not get summarily shut down by the rights holder.

I've already seen them suggested, but I want to throw out another recommendation for Signalis and Lunacid . Signalis is a sci-fi horror game that takes heavy inspiration from the old Resident Evil and Silent Hill games. Like Resident Evil you have limited ammo, inventory, and points where you can save. Like Silent Hill you have a story that starts out fairly straightforward and then gets weirder as things start to unravel around you. I'm not really a survival horror fan and it still managed to keep me hooked to the end.

Lunacid is a first-first person dungeon crawler that is heavily inspired by pre-Dark Souls Fromsoft series like King's Field and Shadow Tower. That's really all the game sets out to be and it absolutely nails it. The combat can be a bit repetitive, unless you invest in magic which I found to be incredibly fun and versatile, but I feel like the atmosphere more than makes up for it. It also has a ton of secrets and plenty of those ah-ha moments where you open up a shortcut or figure out how one area connects to the others.

Glad to see this project finally release. Played it on and off while it was in beta and it is definitely one of the best ways to experience Daggerfall, especially with the modding community that has sprung around the Unity version.

I mean, I am going to miss the regular videos, but I'm glad he's getting to step away on his own terms. So many youtubers burn out, stop uploading, and then just disappear. Or they turn into a brand that they have to manage instead of creating what they want to. Not many get to fly off into the sunset under a helicopter, so that's nice. Plus, he's not stepping away from creating stuff entirely so there's that.

Good. Not every studio needs to be snatched up by a massive corporation. Embracer's yearlong meltdown is a great example of how that can end badly.

Honestly, this has felt inevitable for a while. There are just too many streaming services out there without enough content that makes people want to stay subscribed. It kind of reminds me of when some of the big game publishers tried to set up their own Steam replacements and then ended up returning to Steam when none of them caught on.

Glad to see more articles pointing out how horrible this year was for the people who actually make the games. Unfortunately it's hard to see things getting better, especially with video game unions still such a new phenomena.

More Rockstar leaks? I know it was last year, but it feels like all the GTA 6 stuff leaked yesterday. Interested to see if the rumors about Bully 2 and Agent assets being in the leak turn out to be true.
