Being honest - it doesn't sound like you love him, but rather want to stay in his nice house.

Regardless of if you love him or not, that trust that's needed for a stable, long-term relationship has been obliterated. Every single thing you do will be questioned, outloud or at least subconsciously. That is not going to be good for a healthy relationship.

I'd suggest that if you want to be in a happy and healthy relationship, it's probably a good idea to move on from this one. Take time to reflect and ask yourself why you cheated on this guy - obviously you were unhappy enough to seek someone else, but what made you unhappy in the first place? It could be something about them, but it could be something about yourself too - in which case, you might want to talk to a therapist

If you did want to get back with your ex, I'd suggest giving him space and letting him decide if he wants to come back to the table, and when he wants to. If you seriously like him, don't see anyone else until he decides what he wants to do; but put a time limit on it for your own sanity. Then, after the time is up, give up on the relationship and move on. Tell a friend of yours about your plan so they can help keep you accountable in case you may not be in the right frame of mind

I am literally dumbfounded. What in the world is going on in the US? It's traumatizing enough to miscarry; then the justice system wants to put you in prison?

I've been reading a lot on pregnancy recently and from what I understand, the feasibility of pregnancy ultimately comes down to genetics and statistics (assuming you're doing what you can to maintain a healthy pregnancy). You could be in the 3rd trimester and your baby could strangle itself on the umbilical cord. What the fuck are you supposed to do then?

We've got an administration that is...

  • Pro life, but go to prison if you try and fail.
  • Pro health, but anti vax
  • Pro justice, but anti due process
  • Pro Innovation, but anti employment?

The list goes on, and on. I thought we were in the stupid timeline, but holy shit - this is well beyond that now

A shower curtain of a very important, and well known document from your country such as the Charter of Rights and Freedoms from Canada, or Declaration of Independence from the US. If you live in a country that still recognizes the British monarch, you could also put up a photo of the king (very common in government and military buildings)

This is what I've been trying to accomplish. While I've been able to get it to work; I generally have relatively poor performance for gaming.

By chance do you game and have had enough success with the GPU pass through to play? What's your setup like?

Pro tip: you can use the plastic tabs from bread bags as little wire tags

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has warned the National Weather Service of possible attacks from an armed conspiracy group targeting Doppler radar stations, according to a report from CNN. The group, Veterans on Patrol, is going after government radars because it believes they're being used as "weather weapons."

CNN learned of the possible attacks through NOAA emails warning NWS staff that Veterans on Patrol was planning to conduct "penetration drills on NEXRAD sites to identify weaknesses," with the ultimate goal of destroying NEXRAD. Despite its cooler-than-average name, the NWS uses NEXRAD or "Next Generation Weather Radar" for a fairly mundane purpose: detecting precipitation in the atmosphere. NEXRAD plays a vital role in locating thunderstorms and tornados, making it easier to evacuate vulnerable communities before disaster strikes.

Hey everyone!

For those that have crossed the US / Canadian border recently: what was your experience when going through US customs? Were you harassed / detained? Any tips to prepare for crossing?

My SO and I were talking earlier about having some family come up from the US to Canada to visit us. I suggested maybe they should wait a bit due to the apparent unhinged behaviour of US Customs; However, while my SO doesn't deny the stories, she believes they might be rare cases & blown out of proportion by the media. She found out that the Vancouver woman that was detained for ~2 weeks also had improper paperwork - which is often left out by the media. While the detainment duration is still totally unjustified, the initial detainment was caused by the improper paperwork.

So I'm reaching out to those that actually cross the border to see what's actually going on; as the media can be fanatical sometimes.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Consensus has been achieved, original post below. General consensus is that people haven't had issues with US customs, as long as all the paperwork is in order.

Thanks to everyone who commented, I greatly appreciate your input!
