The problem is people getting stereotyped based on their nationality etc. There are people in America who support gun rights, while many others support gun control.

People should be grouped based on their beliefs, not which country they are from.

I think people's interests/hobbies are much more interesting than there gender/country etc. Like:

  • Are you a dog person or cat person?
  • Do you think video games are too violent?
  • Do you believe in alternative medicine?
  • Toilet seat up or down?
  • Do you like beans?

Honestly I like the name wefwef. It is easily searchable especially when it is not exactly easy to search things across the Fediverse.

You can search by site using the "site" operator, for example:

"whatever you want site:lemmy.world"

All the results will be from/via the lemmy.world instance.
