Thanks Music that's a really nice thing to say. If it helps I've not staggered over any nasty stuff on either of my instances, so they feel pretty safe

Haha thanks I don't like it that much though! I'll trade you, I love your name 😍

Ah I picked cheesetoastie off the top of my head cos it was gender neutral so I'd get attacked less (sad but true). I then started WomensStuff so my gender was blown anyway. I never liked CheeseToastie, I prefer LadyButterfly cos I'm a girly girl. Being on different instances mean I can see some communities and groups that my other instance can't cos not all instances are federated with other.

This is a great topic! How's your sleep hygiene?. Half way down are some tips.

I have insomnia so they main thing I do is not look at screens from an hour or 2 before bed. I make sure I can't see the time, self talk any stressors of the day so I process it and don't look at my phone or tablet again.

I then watch easy sitcoms and dont go to bed till I'm nodding off. have a herbal roll on I made myself (2 drops each of geranium, ylang ylang and bergamot in 10ml carrier oil). I use that when I get in bed.

Im rigid about the routine. The time may change but the routine never does!

Yes it feels more like old school message boards where you were a proper community. It was a totally different feel back then

Yep reddit can get really horrible sometimes. It's just astonishing I'll bet they'd never speak to anyone IRL like that! What was the digg exodus about? I wasn't on reddit back then

Thanks for telling me that. That's a lot to juggle, you need money to survive in life. Nearly everything costs money, even water is billed and it's sometimes horribly hard to make ends meet. Everything to make life less shit costs money. It grinds you away.

You're being sensible and you know your limits, you know programming is good money but you're too frazzled. Looking at alternatives is really sensible... you won't learn well, and therefore won't earn if you're too frazzled to absorb programming. It's not now or never you can put it on the back burner.

I'm glad you're reaching out about it, it's the right thing to do and you need and deserve our support right now. We've got your back

I used to get the train regularly and there was a conductor who was a power nazi, he'd try to intimidate others and do petty things.

One day a man told the nazi he didn't have a ticket cos he'd been mugged, he'd rung the company and arranged a friend to pay over the phone. The nazi demanded the ticket and made a huge show of how he was going to throw him off the train. The guy politely said he wouldn't get off. With a look of total joy the nazi said he'd get the police on at the next stop.

As you can imagine, there was quiet british excitement over this and we were all agog. The police got on and asked the nazi IF HE HAD ACTUALLY CHECKED THE STORY OUT.

Nazi went beetroot red and said he hadn't. He rang the company it was of course true, he looked like a total twat. It was GLORIOUS.

Yep! Manosphere types love to see themselves as oppressed, and hate women being acknowledged as victims

I'm a few episodes in and gripped. Does the quality stay the same throughout? And do you know similar shows?
