The most mainstream way of giving offerings to deities in Lavenderism is to have a shrine or altar in your home or some area. You would simply use a ceremonial container that can hold water and ideally is resistant to spills such as a joss cup or a large mug. You would simply fill this container with water, coffee, tea, or whatever liquid you find appropriate and say “I give offerings to the ancestors.” While you have the freedom to give whatever liquids you want, you need to consider that sugar will get sticky and attract ants over time, which is not ideal if your shrine is indoors. For the gods of Lavenderism the best way is to draw their sigils on cups or papers that cups are placed on. For oils, you can draw their sigils on wood or other surfaces to drop them on.

Sometimes you are on vacation or you wake up in another person’s home or you do not have a shrine for whatever reason. Regardless, there are various ways of doing your daily offerings to deities, ancestors or gods. The most obvious way is libations which can be done on the ground, but in cities the sewer grate works or even sinks or drains in desperate circumstances. The ground is universal and even if the ground is artificial such as rocks, mulch, or even sidewalk the offering is taken. Dirt is only ideal for purposes of tradition and having the liquid quickly disappear into the ground.

Many people will not want to do ancestor offerings daily and that is fine, although it may be better not to do this at an altar or shrine if it could not be maintained or would be neglected. You should also not make the libations or offerings dirty and should wash the container at least with water each time it is refilled or a new offering is given.

It may be difficult to notice because women are such a large part of the population, but the differences are there and other forms of class oppression such as ethnic minorities, religious minorities, disabled and others feel compounding disadvantage over demographics. You hear talk of intersectional feminism that considers these other factors, but this is from a liberal perspective where the women involved are not as progressive and may attempt to turn the tide towards girlboss feminism or just try to make the system better for themselves while discarding the struggle for black or indigenous women.

Because feminism is such a large range of movements and anyone can call themselves a feminist, it is very easy for bourgeois or reactionary women to hijack the discussions.
