And with that, he lost the anti-italian-action vote

Of course! And you're right that Trump is indeed a messy "give me all the credit" guy of course, so he will also try to take credit for things that are essentially happening "on their own". But not just theoretically, but historically, presidents have been able to just tell Israel to stop entire wars and they will do it - all behind the scenes.

CW: same as above? The "male instinct" thing is weird and insensitive. Deal-breaker territory imo. Someone who is ignorant but caring would wait a while and ask with tact about something they are concerned about, likely after trying to educate themselves first and stressing that they might be totally off-base and just need some help to understand or be reassured. This person seems to be fairly cavalier with this comment/question to the effect that it is actually transphobic.

I think +43 pts is net so it is actually 71.5% of Dems who are now raging antisemites (theoretically disapproving of bombing kids for over a year).

If any president wants Israel to stop bombing kids they just need to threaten to cut them off and suddenly things will happen. All behind the scenes, even. Saying, "we are trying" actually means the opposite: they are not trying but want some excuses and fanfare and a delay before anything might change.

"presses for"

Yeah, sure he does

An extreme aversion to introspection or receiving criticism tends to create these scenarios and tends to go hand-in-hand with self-soothing egotistical behaviors. It frequently comes from a place of pain but at some point a person needs to have responsibility for the harms they cause or to be ostracized to prevent further harm.

I think making jokes about an important rule being abused for petty drama bait is good and funny.

They are just having a tantrum and in true Western "leftist" fashion they prefer to claim to be the aggrieved party and using this to lash out.

IRL you've gotta get ahead of this kind of thing because it is rampant and toxic and often just a cover for bullying or abusive behavior.

Gotta brush up on your old timey racism. It's making a comeback.
