Comments are removed for meta discussion in the mega, it's not a new rule and it has been enforced. Mods also need time to respond. Not getting a response within an hour doesn't mean you're being ignored.
There is a long standing rule against meta discussion in the mega.

"Ban evasion" tends to be repeating the same things that led to the previous ban or, in DayOfDoom's case, referencing past DM harassment. We discuss any ban before it happens and consideration is always given to members of the community.
It was discussed between the mods, not a unilateral decision.
