So wie ich die ~~LG~~NG verstehe, ist das Ziel nicht, die Leute auf der Straße, die wegen einer Blockade steckenbleiben, bzgl. Klimawandel zu überzeugen. Das Ziel ist eher, für Schlagzeilen und damit verbunden für einen gewissen Handlungsdruck auf seiten der Politik zu sorgen. Die Hoffnung wäre wohl, dass die Regierung dann Gesetze zum Klimaschutz erlässt, um dann sagen zu können: "Was will diese ~~LG~~NG? Wir haben doch schon [füge Gesetz XY ein] erlassen."

Ich habe das damals auch nicht realisiert, aber rückblickend wird nun deutlich, dass es ein Fehler war, die NPD nicht zu verbieten. Nazi-Ideologie sollte in einem Staat, der auf den Trümmern des NS-Regimes und unter dem Vorzeichen des "Nie wieder" gegründet wurde, einfach immer und konsequent verboten werden.
Wäre das mit der NPD geschehen, hätte es später mit der AfD nicht die Vorbehalte gegeben, die jetzt seit Jahren ein Verfahren verhindern.

Ja absolut. Ich frage mich aber schon, ob Grüne und SPD da nicht noch mehr Druck gegen ihn hätten aufbauen können (er hatte eigentlich nicht viel in der Hand, vorgezogene Neuwahlen wären für die FDP zu jedem Zeitpunkt ein Debakel gewesen). Oder sie hätten ihm meinetwegen noch irgendeine Konzession dafür machen können, halt die Atomkraftwerke noch zwei Jahre weiterlaufen lassen oder was weiß ich. Im Übrigen hätte man dafür ja auch gar nicht Lindners heiß geliebte Schuldenbremse anrühren müssen.
I'm convinced these events will permanently change the role of the US in the world. I checked all of Germany's major newspapers (progressive and conservative) and they all agree that Europe can't rely on the US anymore and will have to fend for itself and/or find new partners. I don't doubt it's the same in other major European countries. This might well be the start of the end of US hegemony. I sure hope that whatever new world order we move into isn't worse than the one we had, and that the changes go over without additional war.
