Buying accounts is the quickest way to get your account banned especially if it's a renowned tracker that doesn't do OpenSignups. The staff knows much more than you do. And if you do get caught with a bought account on a big tracker, then be prepared to be blacklisted from all the other big trackers.

Though as I saw from your comments, you don't wanna grind your way to better trackers which is totally acceptable as not everyone has the time/energy to do so. If you want to pay your way in, then there are some trackers that do allow it, either by buying an account directly from the tracker (No Third parties) or buying a seedbox with the tracker's promo code. I saw you got into TL, that's a pretty good tracker.

There's also AvistaZ who let you in, if you buy a seedbox for a month with their promo code, they're a movie focused tracker, their strong suite is Asian movies. You can join other trackers of the Z Family like CinemaZ (old movies and stuff), ExoticaZ (Porn), AnimeZ (Anime) if you join one of them, as you can invite yourself to their other trackers if you manage to get enough Bonus points on one of them (you get Bonus Points from seeding).

There's also IPT which a lot of people may have recommended you to buy your way into. I would recommend **against **it due to a plethora of reasons, the main one being that you're already into TL (and even if you weren't, it makes much more sense to join TL by buying a seedbox for a month with TL's promo code) and IPT has less content than TL and with worse retention.

Then there's HD-torrent, their prices are a bit on the expensive side but they do have one of the biggest library of torrents with good retention, not as big as cabal trackers but certainly more than other trackers that you can get into by paying.

TLDR: Don't buy anything from Third Party Invite Sellers as there's a very high chance of your account getting banned. I guess you've probably guessed it by now that a lot of people who operate these invite selling sites are staff at other big trackers and selling invites themselves then banning those accounts makes their job of catching cheaters a lot easier.

Fr lol, it was even funnier because a lot of the biggest pirate sites in the world are Russian, cs rin (biggest game piracy forum), rutracker (one of the biggest general tracker), pornolab (biggest public porn tracker), fitgirl (most popular game repacker), m0nkrus (trusted Adobe cracker), Empress (one of best DRM cracker) and they still thought it would've been a good idea ๐Ÿ˜‚

I recently went to sign up for yuscene recently and found that I was already registered to that site with the same credentials.

This is highly unlikely, I'm guessing you're probably misremembering something.

When logging into either site, the UX/UI is essentially the same. Quite odd to me. Almost to the point that points to a honeypot situation.

This is because both of those sites share the same codebase which is UNIT3D, developed by HDvinnie. UNIT3D is a popular codebase for trackers along with Gazelle.

You can check other torrent sites that share the same codebase through this spreadsheet - https://hdvinnie.github.io/Private-Trackers-Spreadsheet/

That's even worse ๐Ÿ˜ณ

[โ€“] BlueRingedOctopus 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Oh I didn't know that, are you using public trackers and leeching popular stuff too ?

[โ€“] BlueRingedOctopus 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Also watch out for any link files, .com files and .bat files.

I think you meant .lnk files instead of link files.

.scr and .uue are also becoming popular means to spread malware through torrents.

[โ€“] BlueRingedOctopus 9 points 1 week ago

Thankfully I don't have to deal with any of that shit on private trackers

I pirated this meme in the highest quality I could but lemmy compresses the image to 60-70% of its original quality, that's why it's so blurry ๐Ÿ˜…

There's a difference between exploiting bugs that haven't even been found and spreading malware through a method that's known by pretty much everyone and is still used to spread malware today.

It's also theoretically possible that your system is already infected by some Advanced Persistent Threats but does that happen that often, No, and have people been infected by running random pdfs they found online, Yes.

You only need a VPN in very few countries, some countries where it is needed to avoid fines/getting your internet connection cutoff from your ISP are the US, Germany and a few other countries somewhere in western Europe, also don't pirate polish films without a VPN if you live in Poland, the rest of the world doesn't care about people downloading movies online.

Don't download games and software from it and always check the file extensions and make sure they're not something like Movie.mp4.exe or Movie.mkv.exe, other than that you're good.

You're not executing a mkv or a pdf

You're half wrong and half right, .mkv files are completely safe but the same can't be said about .pdf files, attackers can embed malicious code, such as JavaScript or hidden executables, within a PDF file.

People really underestimate the capabilities of this .pdf file format. I remember some time ago, someone managed to run doom inside a .pdf file.

So I mostly read doujins, and love the "add to library without actually downloading the book" feature of Mihon and it's forks.

I was using Hentoid (not a Mihon fork) before this, it's a pretty good app if you have a lot of storage, because to add something in your library, you have to download it, there's no other way. It also has limited sources, though the major ones are in there.

I have used Mihon in the past for a short time, when I use to read manga and nothing else.

I'm currently using Komikku, it's great with the Material Design themes and all. But I think their may be better forks out there especifically for Doujin reading and adding them to your collection with/without downloading.

So what apps do you guys use to read doujins/Nsfw comics in general ? I'd love to get some recommendations.

This tracker is pretty great, ratio is easy to maintain, BON system is amazing. Releases don't have a ton of seeders but most if not all downloads finish in reasonable time. I can't say anything about the Content selection as I don't read that many books.
