Something I learned the very hard way, against my will, is when you have a user who is seriously against the mods, and doesn't really care about the sub, it's often best to just ban them.

Normally, the max I give is a week or two, long enough for most to move on, but some people just get obsessed. Others will literally ask to be banned. Those catch a perma.

Not saying the LW admins are right, but moderation is harder than it looks on the outside. Also ban evasion is basically a feature of Lemmy, it's so easy, and a lot do it.

It sucks, mods suck, being a mod sucks, everything sucks.

Its by state, not federal in America.

Never too young for free speech

I call it satire, but that's literally what's happening, isn't it?

For all the leftists out there, remember that gun control is class warfare.

"We find that men who are more dissatisfied with the size of their penises are less likely to personally own guns across outcomes, including any gun ownership, military-style rifle ownership, and total number of guns owned."

Oh I'm plenty pissed at Trump, especially about bump stocks. I think most conservatives that actually care enough to post about it, hate politicians.

But the main thing is Biden could've addressed the border at any time.

Yeah, it's deliberate. On the lemmy.world version of this sub, every time I would post a conservative story, another user would post something progressive, and then my post would get buried and no one would ever see it or interact with it. Why post if no one ever sees it?

I started this sub to get around that, literally so people would see the conservative posts and talk about them. Sometimes you learn something, sometimes it forces you to actually research your position, sometimes you see another slapfight. Much better than nothing.

If you want to start a sub of your own, just be warned, modding is filled with horrible judgement calls, and until you figure it out, you will fuck it up constantly.

A long long time ago, I signed up for gab. Theyre a complete echo chamber, even worse than Hexbear if youd believe it. But hey, still conservative and still really irrelevant. And still batshit crazy sometimes.

Its not that they are unfazed. They see it as a kangaroo court, and that the Dems are attacking American democracy.

Honestly yeah. And being under the retirement age would be nice too. Unfortunately, politicians are not great people.

It definitely was a mistake. I mean the Nazi word ban was stupidity, but at least that only fucked up this sub and got my account banned from half of lemmy. The homophobia reason messed it up for his account too, that was just wrong of us to do.

I don't strictly agree with changing names back, but it's still conservative. What do y'all think?

I feel bad for the aussies

I dont strictly agree with him, but free speech was never about what I agree with.
