Humanity is not as refined as people pretend they are. At the end of the day, a large majority of what we do is directly or indirectly about getting laid.

Men workout to make themselves more attractive. They take jobs that pay well to make themselves more attractive, they go to schools to get better jobs to make themselves more attractive.

Women spend time on fitness, makeup, fashion, and education to try to find a better partner.

It's not all about sex, but a lot of it is. It's biologically wired into us so we reproduce.

They are attacking Israel all the time, who do you think is funding Hamas?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

No it isn't. Breast enhancement is the single most common cosmetic surgery performed in the US.

Where the fuck did you get 197 million?

There aren't even that many women in the US, let alone those of the right age groups.

Its still a fraction of a percentage, but thats only in a single year of surgeries, and your 2024 number is lower than the number per year I linked in the study.

The total percentage of adult women who've had breast enhancement is more than 2% and rising.

If you think most breast enhancement surgeries are paid for by the women, you are not living in reality.

If you think they aren't common, how do you explain the 300,000 that occur each year in the US? It's the single most common plastic surgery performed in north America, and 1-2% of the female adult population has had it done and that percentage is going up over time.

This isn't incel anything, it's just facts.

I mean, when women have small breasts they usually just buy larger breasts, it's a lot easier for them to change that aspect than men.

How do they compensate if they can't afford it themselves and really want it done? They usually get a man to pay for it.

Yes women plan around their periods. They don't "Need" a special calendar, but it's pretty easy to lose track of when it's going to happen, and then you forget and plan something important on day 1 of when it's supposed to happen and end up having a bad time, or not account for the fact that it can be early or late (it's not perfect for most women)

If you want to get technical about the situation, it's a genocide. It fits the UN definition of that activity.

Israel is making conditions horrific for Palestinians, likely with the long term intention to push them out of the area.

That being said, Palestine is not a country. It has never been recognized as a country globally, and it's likely it never will be. The people in especially Gaza shouldn't really be there. The population of Gaza during parts of WW1 was only 17,000 people, down from about 40,000 before that. It's not like there has been a million people in Gaza for centuries, the vast majority of people there are either recent immigrants, or only a couple of generations of births (they have a stupidly high birth rate)

The historical crux of the matter, is that Israel was formed because the previous government in the area(The ottoman empire) collapsed after supporting the wrong side in the first world war and the territory was divided up by the victors.

The biggest issue that I have with how people are treating this situation, is that people seem to think that because the territory was taken in a war (WW1 or even in the current war) it should be returned. These same people when asked when they will be returning their countries land to it's previous occupants are not in favour of returning anything that might impact them personally.

It's nothing but a pipe dream at this point, and ground bases will still be necessary.

This was my response last time, Canada isn't optional, most ballistic missile paths from Russia and China pass over Canada and detecting them would require radar architecture in Canada

Intent to injure?

Based on that call, any sort of pushing or shoving should be called.

Unfortunately, it looks like he's going to elected in a couple years. I just hope people remember after a term of the Conservatives cutting important environmental policies like the carbon tax, that they will have failed to make like more affordable AND fucked up the environment more.

The conservative parties that won in the UK didn't manage to make things more affordable, the conservative party that won in Australia didn't manage it either, no party anywhere has managed it.

This crisis isn't caused by local government zoning policies, approval red tape, or anything else that the parties are talking about. It's caused by landowners (including people who own only one property) using a home as an investment.

You cannot have homes appreciate in value faster than inflation (investments) and also have affordable housing. It's impossible. That's literally just a pyramid scheme.

Until the government starts implementing policies that start reducing existing home prices, this will not be fixed. Building more units doesn't do this unless you build impossibly (literally impossible) large numbers.

So stop voting with your emotions and vote with your brain.

In case anyone was wondering what happened at the grocery stores over the last couple days.

I love Mattias Krantz and his wacky music projects.

Because reasons?

Somewhat clickbait title, it went from 80% to 89% of new unit starts for this one month period compared to last year.

Apartment units have been the majority of new units for more than a decade now.

More technical issues. The ferries are starting to become a real issue here on the island.
