Wenn ich es richtig lese, dann hatte ein 16-jähriger im Jahr 1900, der anfing in die Rentenversicherung einzuzahlen eine Restlebenserwartung von 44 Jahren. Das Renteneintrittsalter lag 10 (korrigiert nach Hinweis, war: 10) Jahre über dem zu erwartenden Sterbedatum.
Ein 20-jähriger Berufseinsteiger heute hat noch 60 Jahre Lebenserwartung.
Wenn das Rentenalter mit der Lebenserwartung Schritt gehalten hätte, dann wäre 90 ein angemessenes Renteneintrittsalter und dann wären 2% Beitrag auch sehr gut machbar.

For the saddle, if you get bored of the Brooks look, Gilles Berthoud has a couple of fun leather saddles that work well with classic road bikes. For the bar tapes, check out Leh Cycling goods. Their woven leather bar tape are real head-turners, but putting them on is likely going to be the hardest thing in this whole build.
