There just doesn't seem to be a market for 5G Ethernet modems domestically. Everybody seems to be gravitating towards 5G routers and "Hubs" in the residential space.

If your router supports it, you'll have better luck with a USB dongle over an Ethernet modem.

Do you dislike your dependency on Android? To the rescue comes Mobile Linux "PostmarketOS" - Funded via Donations (link to 2025 Priorities -> Focus on Reliabilty, Audi, Camera, etc) in c/[email protected]

I only use my desktop for gaming now but it's old and won't run Win11. I'm going for a SteamOS general release then I'll just drop windows on there altogether

That was the purpose of MirrorLink, but I think it's dead now. I only ever saw Volkswagen support it.

If you've got a webOS TV then the official client was updated to support more versions recently. Check again in the content store and see if you're in luck.

If not, then (with a bit of faffing around) you can enable developer mode and sideload the IPK.
