I said it months ago here: establishment Dems love to lose. They still have all their power and privilege, none of the responsibilities, the GOP can make everything even more cushy and privileged for establishment like them, and they get to complain and blame everything on the GOP even while reaping the benefits.

Literally there are no downsides to establishment Dems losing to the GOP.

I found yours, yours is just like gibberish.

You are here presenting the situation as if it was a sudden development, rather than a known risk from the start. You are also presenting it as a definite certainty. Neither of these presentations are correct.

No, risk is a spectrum, like everything. The level of risk changes based on the situation. Jack found it to be an acceptable level of risk, the situation changed, the risk got higher, and it was no longer acceptable to him.

I was presenting a hypothetical situation where risk was the absolute maximum because I want people to use their heads and think about it, and maybe break out of the snearing circlejerk bubble for a second.

Like the anonymous Jane Doe lawsuit from the woman who wasremovedd by Trump when she was 14? She dropped it after numerous threats from Trump and her supporters and I don't blame her at all. I don't expect Jane Doe to put her and her families life on the line either.

This is the way.

I'm ignoring them because aren't good faith? I didn't say "Jack Smith is literally in this situation", I'm just pointing out how easy it is for armchair revolutionaries to snear from the sidelines when it's not their necks on the line.

You neatly sidestepped the question. Capitol puts everyone in danger, that isn't special. Would you do the special honors of placing your child in front of a firing squad if it meant you could say that you stood firm in your ideals?

Would you put your children in front of a firing squad just to say "Well I at least stand firm in my ideals"?

The average Black and Indigenous person in America does not think this way. The average Muslim, Arab, or even Asians in general most likely do not think this way. Communists organize the most marginalized and oppressed, not fully invested liberals.

I agree 100%, I've been making a point of following BIPOC leftist content creators, because I've noticed leftists communities are still very white, the most followed leftist content creators are still mostly white, and it bothers me. I think we need more amplification of BIPOC voices within all leftist communities.

Trump has already threatened his family. It's a privilege to fight for your ideals when you get to stay anonymous and not have your loved ones directly targeted by powerful people, you don't have to face the same kind of consequences. I can't really blame him for not wanting his wife and kids in immediate danger.

I'm sorry, no love for Dems but this is another level of cope and mental gymnastics. Trump did not soften any American power. If anything he crested a wave of right wing electoral victories across the world and emboldened white supremacist, Nazi, and transphobic messaging.

Trump radicalized people... To vote for Biden!! People got radicalized to vote for a right wing old senile white man who sniffs kids instead of a far right old senile white man who raped 14yo's. Trump was not a victory for radicalizing people to the left - Trump put the world decades behind in social progress.

If Trump wins but Project 2025 doesn't cement GOP power the way the Christian nationalist power fantasy thinks it will, we're gonna get another fucking Biden all over again. Radicalized to slightly left of far right.

100%. It's barely been a couple weeks and Trump has already started coping with questions about Vance saying things like "the VP pick doesn't matter, because you're voting for the president and not the VP".

I think that if Dems keep doing well in the polls, Trump might just straight up drop Vance from the ticket.

They're all identical types of weird chuds.
