Pressing the power and a volume button for >2s (the same combination as shutting down the phone) also disables faceID and does not call emergency services.

Are charging stations really the problem nowadays? At least here in Germany, it is not.
Those work on untouched iPhones. But you need to resign the apps every 7 days. (Which can be done automatically via the programs that person mentions)

Small comment on that: after I discovered greenshot on windows, I have never needed to open the screenshot again to edit it, because it already does all these simple tasks right after taking a screenshot.
Maybe attach a microphone directly to the PC and trigger speech to text via the remote?
For software, there might be a wrapper for whisper which does what you need.
