I think united states is envious of chairman Mao and wants to have their own cultural revolution too. Already had the military parade that outshone that of President Xi. Now have to outdo him in killing academics and intellectuals.

lots of folks in my circle also boycotting american products and services. in the cross hairs here are Amazon, Google, any american food, booze, clothing, cars, etc. Most in my circle dont watch american news. its depressing to see a country descend into third world status so quickly

I imagine some portion of those people who are the ‘expensive to treat’ types, would take advantage of “assisted departure” methods if they were available. The problem is likely to be the Christian Ideology that believes people should suffer to the end as ‘ god intended ‘.

my daughter and grandson live in the US. i’m thinking i wont see them for a while. She believes (greencard) she will be refused reentry so is frightened of leaving

Does this mean that any Floridians could be infectious disease carriers? In your next meeting in a big city (Washington?, LA?, Chicgo? Etc) the person next to you or in the plane you arrived on, could be a carrier. So gloves and masks will become de rigueur atire!
