Google "lame duck". You used the term wrong.

Funny how businesses always think you're replaceable or even irrelevant until you stop showing up to work.

I feel like if the House has no Speaker for over a year, shit would fall apart more than even Republicans could stand. We'll get within a week or two of the next shutdown deadline, and they'll finally put someone up there.

UFO/UAP conspiracy theories aren't really an atheist topic.

EDIT: Oh, I see. It's a joke title. It's actually a skeptist perspective. Fair enough.

As far as I'm aware, Russian political statements are weaponized hypocrisy designed to mentally whiplash the listener until they can no longer reason logically. To listen to their own statements would be the equivalent of looking down your own gun barrel.

Wow, I legitimately never knew this. I thought all these civilizations were in the Alpha Quadrant. I only remembered the Beta Quadrant being mentioned once in TOS.

Kinda, but with the later Southern Strategy, and the two parties kinda switching sides, that gets a bit muddy to follow a direct causal chain.

It's my strong opinion that the pardon of Nixon is directly responsible for the current state of partisan politics in the US.

If he had been held accountable then, we wouldn't be dealing with half of our politicians arguing that the president is above the law.

The fact Q shows up at the end to meet Jack makes me wonder if he had anything to do with the "accident".

I actually find door knockers to be the least offensive. Sure, it's the most intrusive, but it also costs the most, in time/manpower. It says that this candidate has people who support them, not just PAC money to throw at advertisement. You get to talk to a human being and gauge how much they actually believe in their candidate. You can ask pertinent questions about the issues.

The gold standard, for me, is when a local politician knocks on my door themselves. That is representation at its purest.

Russia vs Ukraine

Israel vs Palestine

Military coup in Niger

China vs SE Asia

Worldwide economic, social, political, and environmental unrest.

Certainly feels like a powder keg waiting for that one lit match to finally set it all off. I am not looking forward to the rest of this decade.
