I'm a type 1 too, I hear ya. Funnily enough when I encounter people who don't really understand T1D I tell them to watch the Studio C skit "Diabetes Intervention", they absolutely nail it.
There does sound like a lot of confusion in the article, it says hyperglycemia, then says suspected low blood sugar. Those are opposites. Giving insulin for hyperglycemia would be correct. Then later it says she was regularly running high, 200 to 300, which definitely is not good but not immediately life threatening. It honestly sounds like this lady didn't know what she was doing and made no effort to learn, plus she may have been shilling some weird "alternative" products which is bad...
Better but much more expensive insulin, although price has gone down significantly since Affordable Care act.
When I read this 50ish minutes ago I thought it said psychiatrist and thought "Good for them". I now realize what it actually says and my opinion is unchanged.

There was a throwback to how to hold a pen/pencil in the US going back to even forcing left handed people to use their right hand, to disastrous results. There are many ways to perform the function, many with their own pros and cons, but as someone else mentioned it might have simply been a "started doing it 1 way and was resistant to change".
I am curious in what way you hold it which was so different it was seen as needing to be corrected.
IIRC she was specifically talking about the young adult genre.

Actually I used to do this. I had a YouTube video pulled up and ready to click which had the "3 tones" and then the "number is no longer in service" message. Unfortunately these days just picking up the call is a data point recorded and used to send more calls your way, the best option is to just let it go.
