I use FastForward
This issue is mainly just about votes, since these take up lots of storage space. The total amount of upvotes/downvotes would still be saved, but the individual votes of each user would get purged from the DB. Even though it mentions disabling comments once a post gets archived, I think this will be a separate option, that can be disabled by instance admins. If you still oppose this, you should comment on the GitHub issue, that's where the devs are, not here.
Will you reconsider your decision once this gets implemented? https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/5016
It should save lots of storage space that would otherwise be used to store all the old votes from all the communities
If you think this is a YouTube frontend, it's not. It's a different video streaming platform called Odysee (technically the platform is called LBRY, but Odysee is the main frontend for it)
I wish people on Odysee wouldn't be so absolutely brain dead, it's generally a pretty nice platform, but the comment section is always full of garbage
If you're on Android, just go to about:config and disable browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.showSponsored
and browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.showSponsoredTopSites
. Or use a Mull, a hardened version for Firefox for Android, which disables this by default.

You can’t swim in the toilet and then pretend to be mad you’re covered in shit.
This is one of the best quotes I've ever heard. Definitely made my day.
Not all Google apps require Play services btw. And many work without internet access.
Sorry I meant to say torrent client
I was incredibly stupid when writing this comment. I meant torrent client. Fixed it.
That's unfortunate, I didn't even notice. Seems like I'm gonna have to switch to bypass.city
