As far as tips, take a careful look through your settings. You may want to adjust things such as the content filter ( I believe it's on by default), turn on timestamps for posts, and turn off "Best Stuff First" if you want to avoid their dumb algorithm.
Be sure to review all the settings under the "Account" and "Dashboard" tabs, but then scroll down even further and click on settings for you actual blog(s). That's where you most of your privacy settings are, and you can do things like make your list of Likes and people you're following private, change who can send you ask&messages, etc.

This feels like a mistake. The bits with Uncle Fester were OK, in my opinion, but not amazing. I don't think the character is strong enough to support a spin-off series. Not everything needs to be made into it's own Cinematic Universe.
