When I was a child I thought the RC-XD was the most ridiculous contraption I had ever heard of. Tons of shit turned out to become real I thought was stupid

There has been for some time AI image and video resolution upscaling for some time, and it works very very well. Allows zoom and "enhance" but not to the ridiculous scale we see here of course. But you can take standard CCTV footage and 4k upscale it and zoom. Its very impressive.

I feel like one of the 7 pro gun people on all of Lemmy, I'd like to share some perspective about the NRA being a boogieman. They absolutely are not the boogiman that leftists and anti gunners think they are. They are a ridiculously bloated, corrupt, beuracracy, no different than our federal government. They are all optics. In fact I'd say their only job is to be the boogieman and absorb negative attention, to allow the real gun rights groups to get some work done.

I also cant stand echo chambers, but without a shadow of a doubt, Lemmy is the worst with it. I thought reddit was bad....
