Same as it ever was.

What does that even have to do with it? Are you saying you can't be halfassed about boycotting? Like either you boycott 100% or not at all? Or is this just some nonsense whataboutism?

When was the war with the Great Chilean Empire?

Is that accurate though? Assume a satellite is in a decaying orbit (thus too low to contribute to Kessler syndrome on its own) and another satellite is in a different orbit eccentricity-wise but they both collide. Are we certain that none of the pieces from the collision would acquire enough speed to become boloids that contribute to Kessler syndrome?

Time to go down the rabbit hole that is orbital mechanics for me again. Byeeee lol

Edit: looks like the lowest orbit for starlink's first shell is at 550km which is very much above VLEO and would definitely be a factor in Kessler Syndrome.

Most starlink satellites are set to deorbit themselves upon failure to avoid this. However the de orbiting could still fail and then it should take about a year or so to deorbit itself?

So it looks like there is a low possibility of it initiating Kessler syndrome. But it's not negligible.

Sleep apnea would like to say hi. Now you can't breath in dreams either.

I'm waiting for a code golf style solution now.

[–] Aedis@lemmy.world 32 points 1 month ago (13 children)

I'm partial to a recursive solution. Lol

def is_even(number):
    if number < 0 or (number%1) > 0:
        raise ValueError("This impl requires positive integers only")
    if number < 2:
        return number
    return is_even(number - 2)

Hahaha, yeah that's the literal translation of what I said.

So to break it down: Puta - curse word, means literally prostitute, is used as an exclamation of amusement or exhaustion at a situation by itself - kinda like saying "god damn"

Salto lejos el maní - literally the peanut jumped far. Used in the same way as all the other idioms here to say mind your own business or keep it to yourself.

Does anyone think it would be a good idea to have a rule to prevent race spoilers on this community till 24hrs after a race?

Given the nature of races being in a different part of the world every time, time zones vary greatly and it's not always possible to watch a race "live".

Personality I would like to stay subbed to this community, so I can get f1 news and posts when I browse Lemmy. But if it isn't possible to make a rule like that and I'm likely to get a spoiler I would have to either stop using Lemmy for 24hrs (oh the horror) or unsub from this community.

Just a thought.

Have you all received any updates about beef strogonoff lately?

That is all.
