That addresses a slightly different question. Supposing people know of the free stuff, why isn't it discussed as much?

Have you tried using your subscribed feed, other custom feeds, and interfaces that enable keyword filtering?

Let's say ethically better then, to be more specific and explicit. Although, if we want to talk rock bottom ethically, I think we'd have to go darkweb, no?

Good points! Although I feel like I may be out of the loop on some of the discussion/mention of archive.org stuff, which likely speaks to me being out of it more broadly regarding discussions of other related materials.

Kind of surprised there aren't more comments along these lines. This was floating around the back of my head as much as some of the other responses.

I mostly agree, and it's the secondary part, the lack of punishment/consequences that led to asking this question. If the criticism is ineffective at persuading others toward your views, does it outweigh whatever attention/awareness it's giving the subject?

Given their rampant disregard for the law as-is, what's stopping Trump from kicking Musk out and just taking his money/assets? Is that somehow too flagrant?

I found that they ask for my name, phone number, and address.

Are all of these required fields?

Keeping it simple with files and folders is one of the aspects of Zim that I appreciate. When I take the time to use it it helps prevent me from scattering text files all over the place.

What do you mean by user abstraction? First I've seen this mentioned, or put this way.

Has this been your experience?

Aware of Raindrop, but not a fan of freemium models & the data being stored primarily in the cloud. Many alternatives I've found are self-hosted, however if possible I'd prefer a desktop app with data stored locally.

Thanks in advance!

While sometimes logs aren't too difficult to follow, there's also often times they're inscrutable to those not in the weeds of their respective OS. So I was wondering if anyone around here might have some pointers to guides or the like for where to find, and help understanding, different system error logs.

On Windows there's Event Viewer to some extent, and on Linux I think it's typically /var/log (and some distros may have a GUI System Log Viewer?). Not sure of MacOS.

Thanks in advance for any replies with pointers to resources!

Not really from a privacy concern, that's simply a bonus, more of a reliability/convenience interest. Even if internet/mobile internet is out for some reason, being able to easily text across local network would be nice.

For Windows/Android mainly, but crossplatform tools that include those are great too!

The [International] tag is meant to be broadly inclusive, for those wondering, as I'm interested in this subject from all nationalities/continents. I'm guessing the methods may be somewhat similar, but never know how they might be better elsewhere till you ask!
