I have taken your samples. You will never see them again.

South Australia has run into this problem and implemented a solution.

When the solar exports in a section of the grid exceeds the local transformer's limits, a signal is sent to all of the inverters in that section to limit the export rate. The same signal can be send to all solar inverters in South Australia if the entire grid has too much renewable energy.

This signal only limits the export to the grid, so the homeowner can always use their own solar power first. The permitted export is guaranteed to be between 1.5kW and 10kW per phase.

The was a minor oversight during implementation. Homeowners on wholesale pricing would often curtail or switch off their solar inverters if the prices went negative. If the grid operator sent a signal to reduce the export rate, it would override the homeowner's command and force a 1.5kW export during negative pricing (costing the homeowner to export). No-one considered that anyone might not want to export solar all of the time.

The only reason I'm not attributing this to malice is because incompetence is certain.

Even the most subtle burn in bothers me, but grey instead of black doesn't. LED is better than OLED for me.

As soon as there is a technology with the same colours as OLED with absolutely no burn in (and my existing displays get too old), I'll consider it.

Due process is the way to prove you're a US citizen and/or not a criminal. Without it, anyone can be arrested and sent to another country to be killed.

They are deporting people without due process.

US citizens have already been deported. US citizens have already been sent to El Salvador prisons with no criminal charges. Due process is not being done.

They could take you next and there is no legal way you could stop them.

If you don't stand up for the people around you, who is going to be left to help when they come for you?

That's a good argument for including very late term abortion. Inheritance tax.

Abortion should be mandatory.

People keep arguing over whether abortion should be legal or not, but my opinion is that it should be forced on everyone whether they want it or not. Late term abortions up to 100 years after birth should also be considered for inclusion in this rule.

One of my favourite activities is finding controversial opinions, then taking an opinion so extreme that it makes everyone else look like a centrist.

Plover. I'm still not any good at it.

I often send links to friends who probably don't have a Lemmy account. Keeping everything visible to everyone would help me.

If there is a reasonable concern about server resources/costs, then I would be willing to give up a little convenience.

Chronic pain.

Technically children can have chronic pain, but it gets more likely as you get older. There really isn't anything to do about it, and no way to prepare for it, so no-one really talks about it.

My partner has had to remind me many times that my disabilities are actually disabling. No matter how hard I try, I'll never be able to the same tasks as a neurotypical person.

Sometimes just slowing down and working within your limits can drastically improve your symptoms. I find that my symptoms are at their worst when I'm pushing myself too hard, and can go away almost completely if I've been resting properly for a few weeks. This is fairly rare because I still haven't learnt to actually rest.

I'm also seeking medication to help, but it could take a long time to get anything. I'm also prepared for the possibility that the medication isn't the single solution to all my problems.

I wish you the best in your endeavours. You're not alone.
