It's not all men.

But it's enough men that it is all women.

Aluminuminium. Now everyone gets to be happy.

The problem is that if you made this claim about every messaging app, you'd probably be right more than 50% of the time.

If you're trying to calculate it, then it's quite difficult.

If you just want to use it in a computer program, most programming languages have it as a constant you can request. You get to pick whether you want single or double precision, but both are atomic (a single instruction) on modern computers.

I honestly think the idea is excellent and could even help paralysed people communicate.

Unfortunately, I don't think the implementation will be used for anything other than profit, and the entire system would probably work better without the AI part.

It sounds like your driving instructor wasn't any good. A good driving instructor will never put you in a situation that you are not ready for. They never should have allowed you to get a licence until you felt safe.

If you feel like you're not in control then you're right - this accident is proof of that. If you want to try driving again, I highly recommend getting a good driving instructor first - one who won't put you in situations you can't handle.

If you can get everywhere you need to without driving, then you can save yourself a lot of money by not paying for a car, insurance, or registration.

You always have the right to say no, and you can always say "not now". Maybe wait a few more weeks before making a decision.

I like the idea of modularity. If I'm going open source, I may as well make everything modular and upgradable. Even if the whole system won't last for life, I won't be throwing out an entire device to upgrade just one part.

Thanks for the link. I haven't seen anything quite so detailed and helpful before.

Not 100% sure, but I have been monitoring home assistant over the local network and watched as random devices also on the local network lost connection to it for several seconds at a time.

I hadn't even considered open source software for routers. I'll definitely have a look at that.

Request: I'm looking for something with high reliability rather than high speed. It needs to support 30+ devices.

Additional information: My house is about 30m (100ft) long, and the internet comes in by ethernet at one end of it. I'm happy to use a Wi-Fi extender if needed.

Context: I've been having issues with both my current and previous routers. Devices are randomly unable to communicate over the network for several seconds at a time. Both ethernet and Wi-Fi are affected.
I live in Australia, so even the slowest router should be more than fast enough.
I have a large number of automated devices that need to stay connected at all times - even 5 second network dropouts are difficult to deal with. Internet dropouts are handled gracefully.

Any suggestions are gratefully received.

while(1);

Not if I'm writing it.

It was a rubber coated metal bullet fired at close range.

You do not shoot someone unless you want them dead.

A community for users of the wholesale electricity provider Amber to discuss strategies for optimising energy use, and request help with understanding how energy bills work with wholesale electricity.

There are several Amber groups on Facebook and Discord, but nothing that is publicly accessible or viewable without an account.

EDIT: The name is still under consideration. Suggestions for a name to encompass all users of wholesale electricity prices are appreciated. I'm currently leaning toward "Wholesale Energy Australia".

I use it to heat my house.

But at least you're not one of the people getting on a ship.

It only lasts for 12 months out of the year.

I was trying to ask my partner for a pbj sandwich. I accidentally asked for a beef sandwich, then tried to describe the sandwich as boneless and without the meat.

I eventually reached apricot marmalade, which was close enough for my partner to understand the request.

I've been logging my headaches since I started taking Eletriptan in 2020.

I've had an average of 10 days per month with headaches, and 4 days per month with migraines.

So far I've identified stress and insufficient sleep as contributing factors.

As far as I'm aware, these 2 communities should be kept identical by federation. The first link shows 4 posts, but the second link shows 0 posts.
What could be done to fix this?
