The issue is that this government is kissing the arse of the US, you are correct we have seen the rise of authoritarian regimes across the globe in the last 10 years. The other issue is handing over personal information to social media companies, who have used your information to profit from by selling ito data brokers, or the highest bidder that could be br used againt you eventuall, Iis not something our politicians shoukd be willing to do.They are trying to close the gate after the horse has bolted, A ban is not the answer.
