OR=1.16 means 16% worth of "extra" depression. An 116% increase would mean over twice the depression and a ratio of 2.16.

Yes, that was a typo on my part. Thank you for pointing it out!

In other words, the odds of depression with a long commute are 1.16x greater than the odds of depression with a shorter commute which represents a 16% increase.
