This picture makes me smile and laugh.. and shed a few tears in remembrance of the good girls my family has had over the years.

Dogs are so magnificent.

I hope hope the pic brought back some good memories. You're right, dogs are wonderful. She's getting older (10 this past August) and I really want to enjoy the time we have with her. Their lives are far too short.

It brought back many, many good memories, so thank you for that :)

When I was a kid we had a lab and a flat coated retriever. The house was usually empty, except for the dogs, when I got home from school. Being greeted by those two charmers, who were always inconceivably happy to see me, could put a smile on any frowny day.

They become proper, universally loved family members, and so it's terribly sad they can't be with us "forever". Make every moment count. I suppose that's true for most things in life.

I have a dog who looks almost exactly like that. Except he's a boy.

What's his name? Is he a Staffy also?

Jax. We're not sure of his breed, we got him from a shelter. We just assumed he was some kind of mutt.

Edit: Having looked at some pictures of Stafordshire Terriers, he's definitely not one.
