I was watching the Tech Altar's Friday Checkout the other day and the way he was talking about all these new ARM processors being made for Windows, plus the great success story that (apparently) is the Apple Silicon, I have to ask - has Samsung completely missed the boat?
I mean, Apple had to design its own chips & keep working on their software. Windows on ARM is still far from perfect, but they're making progress.
Meanwhile, Samsung has had a desktop environment within Android for years, they have all the android apps, not to mention web apps... We all know here how good Dex can be, it's literally something most other phones can't compete with, including iPhones! Samsung also already makes laptops, yet they apparently have no plans to make a laptop-dock and they refuse to advertise Dex.
So why not go "hey, no need to buy a an iPhone AND an m2 macbook ! Just get our S23 Ultra, there's an ARM computer in it, we'll throw in our laptop dock for free!"
What am I missing?
