Good question, new parents want to give me their kid constantly, and it makes me uncomfortable.
Have you asked why?
I've only been handed babies by family members like holding my niece and nephew.
You're family, nothing against it, but asking if someone wants to hold the baby doesn't hurt. And watching the baby's reaction if changing hands is welcome is always a good idea.
