All things green, outdoors, and nature-y. Whether it's animals in their natural habitat, hiking trails and mountains, or planting a little garden for yourself (and everything in between), you can talk about it here.

See also our Environment community, which is focused on weather, climate, climate change, and stuff like that.

Got to love niche sites like this. Reminds me of the earlier internet before everything got commercialized. Enthusiasts creating sites about stuff they loved.

as far as i'm aware it's a continually updated website (even though it's only run and administered by one guy) and basically a "go-to" standard for wildflower identification, which is really cool

Here’s another option in that genre that allows you to not only query, but also contribute observations of wildlife (plants and animals) that are saved for future studies. They also have great apps for capturing your finds in nature and gives you possible species identification via images you capture, then the science community will chime in with their expertise.

Nice!

I've used PlantNet on Android similarly as well. Worked pretty well.
