The Food and Drug Administration is proposing a ban on using the chemical formaldehyde as an ingredient in hair relaxers, citing its link to cancer and other long-term adverse health effects.

The new rule proposed by the federal agency would ban the colorless and highly toxic chemical in high-straightening and hair-smoothing products — also referred to as relaxers.

Tell black people that their hair is unacceptable at school or work, then sell them poison to put on their heads. Sounds about white.

Don't flatter yourself. It's not just that. Deodorant still can cause cancer if you get the right one. Any colorful soap product probably has carcinogens, hell the very food dye you eat is linked to cancer.

cell phones, titanium dioxide (toothpaste and gum), GASOLINE, preservatives, nicotine.

Seems like the only consistency on whether a carcinogen is accepted is how much money it can make

(so reasonably would affect black people more severely, but by correlation not causation)

“Brazilian Blow Outs” is one of the hair treatments that has it (for straightening hair). It’s hugely popular in South America because it works so well and there is honestly nothing that is even remotely as effective. Companies try to emulate its effects with other products but can’t.
