I'm fifty. My wife is 49, her friends and my life long friends are around the same age and they definitely include a few grandmas. In 2023 fifty does not look like fifty did when I was a teen. The amount of smoking hot women in their fifties that pass for later thirties and early forties is incredibly high.
EDIT: Case in point, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. Why Aunt May ever looked like an octogenarian is beyond me.

Coincidentally, the decline of smoking probably had something to do with this.
I never thought of it, but you're probably right. Most everyone I know has quit smoking by around 2003.

Why Aunt May ever looked like an octogenarian is beyond me.
The protagonist was a 27 year old actor playing a schoolkid so I have to assume that everyone in the Raimi universe ages about 75% faster than we do
The actress who played Mrs Kintner in Jaws was only 45 when they filmed. She looks mid 60s by today's standards.
Fucking Richard “I’m bald and greying” Dreyfus’s was only like 35 in Jaws.
He aged 20 years between American Graffiti in 1973 and Jaws in 1975.

I ain't complaining. Google Photos gave me an album from 2008 and my wife looks exactly the same (hair dye is magic). Sadly, I look like I'm pushing seventy and dating a woman half my age. Nevermind... I'm ok with that.
