What if authors pick a symbol and ban it ? This original plan is oulipo.social's bid. Is it a fun workout for word fanatics ?

The OuLiPo is a French creative writing comitee created in the 60's that uses original constraints to foster original works.

One of their most famous works is A Void (La Disparition in French), which is a 300 page novel entirely written without using the letter E, which is the one banned by the instance. (And yes, there is an English translation that was also written entirely without the letter E)

Posts similar to any of this will not stay up on our activity list:

  • Pornography without a "CW" or "Tricky Topic" tag

Hmm I wonder which words CW consists of.

The joke is that it contains the letter E, which is banned on the instance.

Communication Warning could work.

This post's wording sounds a bit off at first. I understood it lacks a symbol, now it's lucid.

(wow i find this difficult)

A fool was using this symbol, that fool is you. A pronoun contains it .

So this "symbol" is letter e?
