There were two “Reigns of Terror,” if we would but remember it and consider it; the one wrought murder in hot passion, the other in heartless cold blood; the one lasted mere months, the other had lasted a thousand years; the one inflicted death upon ten thousand persons, the other upon a hundred millions; but our shudders are all for the “horrors” of the minor Terror, the momentary Terror, so to speak; whereas, what is the horror of swift death by the axe, compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty, and heart-break? What is swift death by lightning compared with death by slow fire at the stake? A city cemetery could contain the coffins filled by that brief Terror which we have all been so diligently taught to shiver at and mourn over; but all France could hardly contain the coffins filled by that older and real Terror—that unspeakably bitter and awful Terror which none of us has been taught to see in its vastness or pity as it deserves.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

English-language Palestinian Marxist-Leninist twitter account.
English-language twitter account that collates news (and has automated posting when the person running it goes to sleep).
Arab-language twitter account with videos and images of fighting.
English-language (with some Arab retweets) Twitter account based in Lebanon.
English-language Palestinian Twitter account which reports on news from the Resistance Axis.

English-language PalestineResist telegram channel.

Various sources that are covering the Ukraine conflict are also covering the one in Palestine, like Rybar.

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

Last week's discussion post.

This is grim stuff. They’re just destroying the city.

Hate the handwringing about "Palestine hates Jews." If I was getting genocided by Jews in order for them to have a Jewish ethnostate, I wouldn't be a fan of Jewish people either. It's like saying the Aztecs were christianphobic for killing missionaries. Hate for the oppressors is different from hating the oppressed.

Regarding the Egyptian border crossing.

The Israeli occupation destroys the Rafah crossing on the Egyptian and Gaza borders, and all relief trucks return to Egypt as a result of the intensity of the Israeli bombing. “Two Egyptian workers were injured by shrapnel. “The only crossing linking Gaza in the world.”

The Gaza Ministry of Internal Affairs reported attacks on the Rafah checkpoint on the border with Egypt, and also stated that the Egyptian side asked to evacuate people from there. An Egyptian security source told German news agency DPA that the crossing point was closed until further notice.

The Rafah crossing opened in 2005 following the Palestinian-Israeli agreement. This is the only checkpoint between the Gaza Strip and the outside world, besides those on the border with Israel that are not operational.

Since Day 1 of the war, over dozens of Egyptian ambulances, filled with medical aid, doctors, and medics, have went to Gaza to provide emergency medical services to the Palestinian people, the intiative, by all accounts, is humanitarian and oriented towards the civilian population, obviously.

Israel threatening to bomb the trucks carrying nothing more than bandages, blood packets, antibiotics, and doctors, is a through and through war crime and this is taking place in front of the world.

It's important to note that some of these doctors are directly Army doctors from the Medical Corps and the Egyptian Red Crescent, alongside some volunteers, and they're all Egyptian citizens.

Whoever made that statement didn't think twice, they may have had a legal loophole when they bombed the Palestinian side of the crossing and the roads, but targeting the trucks will not do you any good.

The United States does not plan to send troops to Israel, White House spokesman John Kirby said. The first military aid has already been sent.

Nothing can compare to what the brave people of Palestine are going through, my heart goes out to them

I used to think it was hard to argue with liberals when I was a baby leftist and I think it's because a part of me still agreed with liberals enough to be swayed by what they were arguing. Now I just roll my eyes when they say the same things I've been hearing for decades but packaged in flowery language to sound more sophisticated.

CNN pushing the story hard that Hamas beheaded babies and toddlers. Someone is lying here and this whole thing feels so surreal, just like the babies in incubators story.

Swedish Left Party is preparing to expel a member in a local council position for "disrespecting the partys democratic processes and decisions" after he publicly criticised the party leader for only condemning hamas, as well as him separately stating that Israel must be abolished.

Democratic centralism but only when it comes to supporting genocide.

I wondered if Snopes had anything to say about Hamas's "Top Secret" map. I couldn't find anything. But when I was looking around I found this ~2,000 word white phosphorus article...

Do Photos and Video Confirm Israel Used White Phosphorus Munitions Over Gaza Seaport?

A hint about Snopes - you need to scroll all the way to the bottom because the site does SEO manipulation and makes pages needlessly enormous. In the very last sentence they finally get to what should be the very first sentence.

Though these videos and photos may not be confirmation of the use of white phosphorus munitions over populated areas by Israel, they are strong evidence in support of that conclusion.

From the mod that I suspect banned me from r/geopolitics today, where I had been active for like 4 years lol:

Insinuation that Israel has always wanted to take over Gaza, or any other fully Arab areas, and wants to now. The demographics would never work for the State of Israel, so annexing Gaza is a no-go. The presumption that the Israeli government would consider other options, such as mass deportation (or worse) to get rid of the Palestinians shows of the commenter that their comprehension of geopolitical affairs is quite crude. Further, the commenter's gross negligence of the history of the region and the context through which Israeli happened to acquire the occupied territories, demonstrates either a lack of knowledge of the situation or the intent to push an agenda (particularly evidenced by the multiple references to Netanyahu as if he were the only decision maker in the Israel).

https://reddit.com/r/geopolitics/s/13jnOb9Ye4

Started looking through the mod list to find a potential comrade who might unban me, and realizing it's all neoliberal/worldnews/warthunder freaks.

In Denmark the conservative party has made a formal inquiry to the succdem minister of justice asking whether an existing ban on public approval of terrorism can be used to punish those who has expressed support for Hamas and the Al-Aqsa Flood.

A ghoul from the party says that "We don't think it should be without consequences in a democratic society to praise the killing of civilians and the kidnapping of civilians."

It is unlikely that they expect the ban to extend to those voicing support for zionist terror against Palestine.

A few weeks ago the very same conservative party was pissing and moaning and whining about freeze peach regarding a proposed ban on racist book burnings.

I know it seems like Ukraine is that toy story meme but don't you love being right about stuff?

AFP interviews Ukrainian soldiers, confirms Russian narratives

The recapture of the small village in the Zaporizhzhia region was announced in August as a strategic victory in the counteroffensive. Yet eight Ukrainian soldiers involved in the fighting told AFP their forces were only inching forward with heavy losses against a Russian army entrenched behind heavily fortified positions.

Igor Korol, the heavily tattooed(PS: I'd love to see those tattoos BTW, nothing but completely normal "viking runes" surely) commander of the brigade's first battalion, spoke calmly but did not mince his words. For him, the announcement of the capture of Robotyne on August 28 was primarily a PR move, since the village, occupied since early in the war, has no strategic value.

"We could have gone around it," he said, speaking to AFP in an area near the front line. "We love big announcements, quick victories. The reality is different," said the commander who uses the call sign "Morpekh" (Marine).

Korol said his men are still not able to move freely around the area because of Russian fire, even though they hold the territory, calling it a "gray zone".

Soldiers from the 65th brigade said Russia fires 10 shells for every "one or two" from their side. The same goes for drones.

"We are fighting against... a massive country. They have more men, more equipment," said Oleksandr, a 27-year-old soldier with the call sign "Storm".

This is constantly repeated by the armchair YT pro-Russian "analysts" whatever you call them, for months now. Also casualy admitting huge losses:

Without air cover, Ukraine's military can only move very slowly.

"The price is the life of our men... and we have very few (reserves) of men," Korol said.

Mykola or "Doc", a combat paramedic, acknowledged "the cost is very high", describing evacuations of wounded men under fire.

TL;DR Ukrainian commander among other soldiers admits Rabotyne was in fact nothing but a PR move, the Russian side is once again vindicated as providing reasonably accurate reporting on the desperate inferiority of the Ukrainian side, they lack firepower and continue to suffer huge casulaties. The village itself was in fact not strategically significant and even 2 months after "capturing it" Ukrainian army can't even move around it.

Too bad only nerds on the internet will read this shit.
