We did it ~~Reddit~~ Lemmy

seems unlikely (to me) that this would be intentional from reddit's side. You'd think they would be VERY interested to see how this really impacts site traffic and how much "protest" they can absorb before taking administrative action against mods/subreddits.

Oh the site is like DOWN down

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Can I just say, I'm so happy that everybody banded together against them. Like a bunch of strangers on the internet grouping together to tell them, "No, you will not"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

me too man, me too. such a warming feeling. fuck spez. I think it's amazing we're all coming together against this

I look forward to what else the community and developers will do while saying "no"

Honestly, lemmy is not bad, taking a little getting used to but there's so many communities being created I wouldn't be surprised if see a large migration over the next few months. It seems quite a few people have already made up their minds

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I hope all the skids and the power hungry mods with agendas stay on Reddit, while all the normal people migrate over here. Wishful thinking...

Yeah, a lot of people to seem very open minded about Lemmy. I really hope it sticks through because I absolutely love the redditor community in general. A lot of like-minded techies, that are also in my generation (I'm a early millennial that grew up with late millennials) so a lot of interests and humor are shared :) I definitely agree with it needing to take a little getting used to, I hope more people share that mentality and give it a very fair chance

Is it possible someone launched a DDoS attack against Reddit?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

It’s funny that it works normally on Apollo for me 😎

Check at 6:00am PCT and All page was mostly whitepopletwitter and gaming. It in no way looked like your typical day of popular /all on the home page.

Im surprised r/conservative hasn't hit the front page yet

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

They can have it. Make it thrive in the same way all the other conservative-based social medias have thrived.
