My boss was nice and bought bubble tea today. But man I'm keen for the long weekend!

Ha! I was right about them moving the house. They started up the truck about 10 minutes ago. No wonder Zooks came in and woke me.
Sounds like they just left. No ominous crashing noises or outbursts of swearing either.

Glad to see you're feeling better chef. Could I please have 2 roasted bananas stuffed with chocolate and a glass of milk. Need calories! Need calories!

Exercises completed. Miniest wanted to go to the beach but I think tomorrow is a better day weather wise for that. Also, and I hate to say it, but I've got a lot of cleaning and laundry to do! Also organising stuff.. there are piles of clothing in different spots around the house and the Miniest is heavily into art and craft activities and she's a prolific artist so I have to discretely "manage" some it. When they first start drawing painting and creating things you have a tendency to want to keep everything, but after a few years and hell of a lot of art you tend to want to cull it a bit more heavily!

After a lifetime with the same health insurance fund I have made the decision to switch to another fund. Sorry Defence Health, but you are an absolute mess right now and we just can't be together any more.

I'm loving the early access Boost for Lemmy app. It feels just about identical to the Boost for reddit app

Was struck by massive pangs of hunger earlier today and wolfed down dinner, though I didn't want to feel like I was eating my hosts out of house and home. It was delicious and I ate a fair bit but NOW I'M HUNGRY AGAIN and it's hard to fall asleep. I don't know where this seemingly insatiable hunger has come from but that's one of the sacrifices of not staying at your own accommodation. Total freedom to pig out.

Given that I'm paying $0 on accom maybe I'll treat myself to dinner in the Brisbane CBD on the weekend. There's this nice Indonesian place that's opened up after starting out as a little stall in an industrial area. It ain't cheap but it looks good and I hope they're paying their workers fairly. Look at this menu (PDF). I think I'll have the nasi kapau with jackfruit rendang and the ketoprak. Might post on the food sub if I make it there.
