i feel like i cant enjoy video games anymore. but in opposition of what i feel, i'm regularly still buying games on my ps4/pc (even i have gamepass and ps plus subscription). but when i begin to play one of the game its always little dissappointment for me. cant play it, cant jump in that world and after that im deleting the game. but it cant stop me about that buying another game on ps store/steam a week later but same disappointment feeling catches me again. maybe reason is my age (i'm 36) i dont know. i was always exciting about video games, all of my life, and now i wanna catch that feeling again and im not getting even close. maybe i just missed that excitement about new games or all that immersive and "take your gamepad and forget the real world" shit i dont know. but its true that video games are not exciting me anymore and im trying to catch feel but i cant. actually when im playing video game, im feeling like someone is directing and saying what i have to do all the time. i feel like i cant use my brain and solving problems when playing video games, feel like i just pushing some buttons on my gamepad.
but when playing boardgames i feel like all decision is mine. maybe boardgames look like more limited than video games about player choices but i think its opposite. boardgames giving more choice , in its particularly design and rules. it attracts me lot about boardgames.
anyway is it time to give up video games for me? anyone has the same feeling? boardgames still always exciting me rather than video games. is it time to put boardgames in the center of my gaming life? and not even bother with video games anymore?
