Anyone else getting an issue of videos from certain channels using the wrong audio. (lemmy.ml)

I'm on NewPipe version 0.25.1 with a Fairphone 3 on /e/OS Android 9. I get my NewPipe updates from F droid.

Just this evening, I noticed that whenever I play a video from certain channels, specifically Mr Beast and MrBeast Gaming, the audio is dubbed over with some other language. I know YouTube is meant to be testing a feature of allowing channels to have dubbing for different languages, but I wasnt sure if this feature has already been rolled out. If it is, its possible that New Pipe is playing these videos with a dubbing but there doesnt seem to be a way to change the language back to standard English. I'm curious if anyone else experiences this or if there is a way to fix it.

it is a problem with freetube and newpipe, apparently it will play the first avaliable audio instead of use your prefered language.

I also have this with MrBeast videos and sometimes other videos that have dubs in other languages

Yeah, I also started having this problem, but haven't seen it addressed in any of the usual forums. 😒
