don't listen to the other comments, as long as you clean the surface with a microfibre cloth, you're fine. be sure to give it a good rub. since i see such a cloth on your workbench, you're fine
It's better to use a magnet. That way you can clean it without contact.

could use a bew paint job. that copper tone is so 2024. gold is the new black
And toothpaste will help get rid of any scratches.
Be sure to hoover your basement first, tell your pets that they can look but not touch, and if you get any fingerprints on the platter, be sure to wipe them off with a damp rag. Then this should be fine 👍
