I would like to, but let's be real, i had a question about a game today and i went to Reddit because that game deosn't have a Lemmy community.
Reddit has more people, more content, and more history. Only an actual collapse will make Lemmy a superior alternative.
Im using this ios app Memmy. It reminds me so much of Apollo. Now just need to give some so all the communities switch to lemmy. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/memmy-for-lemmy/id6450204299
Yeah. Even when many niche communities are still there, I prefer to bet on Lemmy and its growth instead of supporting what was once great and now is only an ego megatrip for Spez and his overgrown ambition and greed.
Here it feels nice and cozy. I like it a lot. And also, the developers of my two favourite Reddit apps will soon unveil their apps for Lemmy (same name even). Check soon for Boost for Lemmy and Sync for Lemmy.
trying
Deleted my comments and account and now I'm here. Though Im kinda trying to get off social media and so I'm on lemmy sparingly. Trying to be more productive with my time.
I did
Yah mon.
Already have, reddit's just for getting decent results in Google
95% at the moment in favour of ~~YNNEL~~ Lemmy, with the occasional need to check in at the other place for niche interests and sport forums (there's very little I've found in terms of pro wrestling, cricket and rugby discussions over here so far). As and when those communities develop over here, I'll ditch the other place completely.
I just have to find some of my communities here then thats it.
My third eldest, Larissa, she was talking about this just last week. She is very smart, Iβll give her that, because she was the first in the family to go to university. And she passed with distinctions. So weβre all quite proud of her.
Yup.
I wish but I couldnβt load the comments at the first placeβ¦
Yes
The guy from the Simpsons?
So long, dental plan!
Yes. My username says it all. Late to the party because the fortress of Lemmy has been extremely difficult & discouraging to scale but today I finally did it.
I've replaced all discussion on Reddit with Lemmy. I still browse Reddit due to it still having some communities with content I still have to access such as Jumpchain and modding Elder Scrolls.
They were going to kill Infinity. Still worked on July 1st but decided to just preemptively pull thr plug
I won't be able to fully replace it, I'm afraid. Not before communities gain the ability for their posts to not show up in high traffic feeds.
Some subreddits I follow have this set, but this is not yet implemented in Lemmy if I'm not mistaken. So a workable move to Lemmy for them is not possible at this moment.
Yup, was a loyal Sync For Reddit user. Wasn't sure how I was going to cope to be honest but Lemmy has been great so far.
I've moved all my normal hobby discussions over here and am only using Reddit as part of my job. (85% of Tech Support is finding someone who had the same one-off issue 8 years ago, and usually the answer is in a Reddit thread)
