In their unsigned 38-page ruling, the judges concluded that Trump “lawfully exercised his statutory authority under § 12406(3), which authorizes federalization of the National Guard when ‘the President is unable with the regular forces to execute the laws of the United States.’”
I wouldn’t sign my name to such blatantly wrong tripe either. I’m ready to Civil War. Who’s with me?
Let's try a general strike first, since if the military doesn't fracture and join us, you're looking at open slaughter (or at best, The Troubles)
Look how powerful civil disobedience and an extended general strike was against the regime in Chile back in 2019.
If the more liberal parts of the movement didn't go for the reform bait, they would've won.
Mm hmm, mm hmm, I hear you, I hear you. What about my boundless untethered rage though?
Consider directing that rage into the methods seen in the Chile documentary in my first response (I edited it in, so you may not have seen it).
I think it's good to be prepared for a civil war scenario, but we should be doing everything we can to avoid one.
Don't be a hostage of the gun... But have one and know how to use it well.
Welp, this is the consequence of being able to pack the courts with your own appointed judges.
It was unanimous, I didn't think Trump fully controlled any courts?
One of then was from Biden:
Thursday’s 3–0 ruling—issued by Judges Mark J. Bennett and Eric D. Miller, both Trump appointees, and Jennifer Sung, a Biden appointee—extends the stay and marks a clear victory for the Trump administration and its ongoing drive to establish a presidential dictatorship.
Unfortunately, the liberal party in Germany ultimately became complicit with the Nazi party.
Our current democratic party is completely corporate captured, and do not have any ethical fortitude to stand against the regime. They are cowards who will take the easy path, even at the expense of us all.
The 9th is shit, their rulings have done so much damage for years
Whelp, guess we are venturing closer to civil war territory. I honestly hoped not, but this is not a good sign.
Civil war at home and world war 3 abroad. Perfect timing
A good reminder that the system was already broken before Trump got here.
It's a consequence of the legal framework of the process of military deployment not having any real checks on bad actors.
this is the result of relying on decorum and norms for a century and a half instead of passing laws.
Americas always been fascist, they just historically held themselves as different and only took the mask off for socialist movements.
Precisely. Trump merely took off the mask of facade. People have been asking for authenticity and elected Trump. And here you go, America as it truly is.
And it will continue to be this way because Congress isn't really functional. They kept giving power to the office of the president because it was convenient. They won't try to take it back.
Germany annexes Austria, 1938, orangised
(Just a dumb joke, not comparable at all)
