Asbestos never hurt anyone!

It's your body that hurts itself trying to bother the asbestos! If your immune system didn't try to remove the fibres there'd be no generation of scar tissue and there's no problem.

It'd be like if every time you read one of my posts you involuntarily started hitting yourself over and over again. Not really my fault, I'm not making you do it.

Glad I got out of the manufacturing business when I did.

I had some aluminized asbestos gloves I used to use for working on exhaust headers in my old farm truck. I got them from my old man when he used to wrench on helicopters for Uncle Sam's civilian side of warmongering. They still use them in some circumstances. They're fucking great. They were too far gone to be usable any longer- the first loose thread I found I bagged them and disposed of them with someone I know who works as an asbestos remediator.

It sucks that asbestos does what it does because it really is a damned miracle mineral. I'm not going to go into it because I'm not shilling the shit inadvertently, but a lot of things had to be formulated to replace asbestos and a lot of them are really subpar replacements.

They should make lungs that aren't weak to asbestos tbh

It's indestructible, fire proof, most types are hydrophobic, flexible, comes from the dirt, the perfect insulation material.

It's like the real life example of the immovable object if we changed the definition of movement a little

Yeah it's kind of dialectically linked, for a material to be that useful, it is going to be bad if you inhale it.

A crank belief of mine is asbestos could probably be used completely safely at some point under a later stage of socialism where we don't have the perils of capitalism or even minor bureaucrats making quotas to risk lives.
