Bringing back nostalgia for one even the bad versions of Windows weren't as bad as they are now.

I skipped XP entirely on account of its cartoonish interface, jumping direct to Vista when programs started dropping Win2K support.

You skipped, arguably, the best version of windows. I stayed on 98se as long as I could, until the custom black themes came out. They made it much less cartoony.
