I am gonna make this short:
My mother has cancer and is currently on chemo.
Now, I have hopes that she can beat the cancer, or at least delay it long enough that she will have a close to normal life expectancy.
However, there is one nagging fear:
What if she gets checked up in 2 weeks, it is revealed that chemo does nothing and that the tumor has grown?
At what point is it appropriate to ask questions like "Mom, how do you want to be buried?" or "Do you want to be cremated?"
I do not want to wait too long until she is very weak, because if I am on literally my last leg, the last thing I want to think about is things like "where is my social security card, my birth certificate and my insurance data", let alone the dreaded "Where do I want to be buried?"
