Like russia: there was a high rank military person in that materny ward! Or at the mall, or at the playground!
OP is a fucking idiot
To post examples where the OP is a fucking idiot.
And all these terrorists with crayons in their school bags!
Ok, im all for privacy, and this is just a thought and i would like some feedback. Why do we censor the names people with blatantly insane opinions? Im not saying mass-targeting, bullying or doxxing someone is a good strategy of any sort - but in my experience people tend to become radicalized because they DO NOT have to worry about any reprecussions of their actions. If you wrote stupid shit and got called out for it i would like to believe those people would use their brain for atleast one second to figure out whether their thoughts are a good idea to begin with.
Once again, i am not suggesting bombing anyones inbox with toxic replies, just the idea of being held liable for what you post.
Its the same principle anywhere really. The commenter probably wouldnt say those words at their workplace because they would be held liable to take stance for that idea. But on the internet you have a mask on to post whatever you want. As much as i am a privacy advocate I feel like if you make the decision to post publicly in your (user)name you should expect to be held liable in that name. I dont like the idea of protecting people with shitty takes and opinions. They will never learn if they never get called out. This is why I like Lemmy more than Reddit, Reddit is a circlejerk whereas Lemmy actually does call out people with stupid takes.
I wouldnt censor Musks name in the news for commiting a crime neither would I censor someones shitty take online. Take responsibility for your actions, even online.

This is a requirement of admins of this instance.
Well, that answers it
Yup, that's not a choice. Although I KIND of understand them.
Tbf it is. You are allowed to attack military targets even with civilian casualties if the perceived value is high enough.
Like shooting a rocket at Hitler's car traveling through a mass of people would probably have been seen as "worth it"
