Someone should make this game, a game where the tyrannical oppressors violently exert control over a population, and you're the protagonist but you're told to remain civil and not give the tyrants a reason to oppress you. Somehow, this works for you and you keep defeating the evil troopers by complying and giving them what they want. Initially, this is stuff like they just go away and leave you alone, only attacking your neighbors who were stupid enough to resist or protest. As the game continues, it should get more and more absurd, like your compliance causes a miniboss to trip over a shoelace and into a wood chipper. You unlock skills, like speaking your mind or defending yourself from criminals, through acts of compliance.
Meanwhile, in the background, NPCs keep standing up to fight back, and they keep getting put down. Heroes fight the troopers, and you just have to stay out of the way. You could help at some point, but helping them causes you to lose skills or even die, and so they lose the fight and you get to keep playing the game in an increasingly depressing and restrictive hellscape. Maybe the goal is to dodge all the shit coming at you, and each level you are able to use fewer and fewer base skills or buttons, until you're left with only the one button, press F to Praise Leader. Once you get to that point, the game won't tell you, but you have to keep pressing X to Fight, and the number of times you have to press the button depends on how compliant you were. This kicks off the endgame where you tear it all down. The more times you helped the heroes, the easier it is for you to take down the system from the inside.
