A friend of mine will sometimes be in discord while he works IT and some of the calls really boggle the mind. At first I thought it was just old people but he it's people younger than us and they can't follow the instructions or tell you shit that is on their screen.

Breadtube if it didn't suck.
Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.
Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.
There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.
A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.
At my last job, the lack of basic computer literacy was prevalent across people of all ages, especially younger people. I've noticed people who mainly use mobile devices really struggle with very basic tasks on a desktop, like how to drag windows across the screen or which connector fits into which slot on a dock. I worked with people who struggled with understanding shapes and how to ship back a box with their old laptop. I think a lot of people freak out over small issues with computers that they would be able to resolve themselves if they weren't so intimidated simply because it is an electronic device. My old workplace pampered its users so much that it fostered users who used the criminally understaffed IT department as a crutch.
Tracks because I struggle with mobile devices and I grew up with desktops.
Something for me is due to anxiety and other shit I am not one to ask for help until that's the final option. That's kinda made me a better troubleshooter think.
We need to start calling what some end users are doing what it is, weaponized incompetence.
