Hello,
You may want to reach out to the [email protected] mod. We discussed some time ago a potential move to another instance.
I saw the thread, but the head mod account for that comm is dead, returning error 400. Iirc only the head mod has comm transfer powers
With a dead head mod account it'd require cooperation from the admins, which isn't going to happen LMAO
I'm a mod there. I've modded a few people using my .ml account. I've never experience any issue with modding with a local account that is not the mod head.
Afaik, head mods one power over regular mods is the ability to do an official comm transfer, but yea you can do everything else as a regular mod
an official comm transfer
What is that? Receiving mod privileges on a community? I already have that.
I'm not entirely sure, documentation is sparse on it, but it's what triggers these entries https://lemmy.world/modlog?page=1&actionType=ModTransferCommunity
Pretty sure we don't need that. The current other mod and I could just lock the .ml community and redirect to the new one.
Ah, I suppose with the head mod user just returning a user not found error like that, the risk of them 'suddenly coming back' and reverting things is quite nill
So yea, if you guys want to do that, I can make y'all a mod here
As I said, I would suggest you to post on the .ml community to discuss with the other mod. I'm not that involved in that community, and with lemm.ee shutting down, I have bigger fish to fry now.
Wellll I can't exactly do that, site-ban lmao, I'll just continue with this comm as is until the dust settles with the .ee situation
Damn. Maybe consider creating an alt? Not being able to post on .ml at all will probably hinder your project to move communities from there
