i was at a bar where they were playing some karate kid movie on mute and i was narrating it talking shit and the bartender was like, oh do you want me to change it? I was like no im making the girl im with and everyone around me laugh keep it on

Honestly I thought Kobrai Kai was really fun and I probably will see the Jackie Chan/Ralph Maccio film with kid from American Born Chinese in Cinema.
I really liked Cobra Kai and actually think the new movie might be good because of how good the show ended up being.
The show is so much better than it deserves to be. It should be a soulless nostalgia slop cash grab, but ended up having great character development and showing how conflict can occur without making a single individual responsible.
It was really good at balancing it's protagonists/deuteragonists. Like giving Miguel and Robby equal spotlight at points during the series. Johnny and Danny etc.
I love how they got as many of the original actors crammed into the series as they could get
What other franchise has done that, 30 fuckin years later and you got the same guy playing the karate kid and Johnny and kreese and they even bring back the girl from the third movie who you think is gonna be a love interest but they're 100% asexual bc i guess ralph maccio felt weird about the actor age gap (he's like 100 years older than danny larusso) as his wife's sister when they hang out in a bar and it's like WOAH EVEN HER

I was even more surprised that they brought Chosen back.
They really had everyone who was still alive on that show except for Hilary Swank. I guess that's a spoiler too, Hilary Swank, The Next Karate Kid, isn't in Cobra Kai.
It's awesome, but it's weird how they live in a place where law enforcement doesn't exist and people become badass karate fighters in two weeks.
The first season was the best tho, the whole redemption angle was great, too bad they ruined it.
They do try and involve the cops at one point. Then the cops turn out to be useless lmaoooo

You will not ruin this by calling the cops 
You will see a student get nearly killed and or crippled for life and you will escalate things even further
